About O’Fallon, Illinois
O’Fallon IL is located in St. Claire County and is surrounded by Fairview Heights, Shiloh, Lebanon and Belleville. It was founded in 1854 and grew due to the downtown railroad depot. O’Fallon experienced another population and development boom in the 1980′s and 90′s, following the expansion of I-64. O’Fallon’s prime location, 17 miles from St. Louis and 5 miles from Scott Air Force Base, makes it a great home for commuters. The city covers 11 square miles, and its population is about 29,000.
